You will have to remove the rear door panel to gain access to the inside of the door. In the door there is a brace directly under the molding that separates the Fixed glass from the window. If you undo that brace the old fixed part will come out and ou can slide the new window in. It took me less than an hour to replace mine.

When power doors fail on a 1999 Honda Civic there is a problem with a actuator or wiring. The door lock fuses should be checked. If the fuses are fine then the actuators themselves will need to be checked.

This isn't an answer but I have the same problem w/ my Honda civic... ik they arent the same but the light wont turn on when neither doors in the front are open... I think it's got something to do with the sensor or whatever... the one that's black and feels rubbery.
The Honda Fit has 4 doors and a rear hatch. The front doors on the driver's and passenger's sides are full doors opening into a surprisingly spacious cabin. The back driver's side and passenger's side door are three quarter sized doors although the back seat passenger area is more moderate in size.

I have a 2004 Acura TSX - I was having this same problem - it fixed itself and apparently the "fix" in my situation was to have a passenger lock and unlock the doors from the passenger side.

The front speakers on a 1997 Honda Civic coupes are 6.5 inches. They can be upgraded to 6x9's as there is enough room in the doors to do so. The rears are also 6.5 inches.
