Step 1. Acquire a Haynes manual for your year make and model.

Step 2. Read all of Section 10 and see if there are other small jobs like bushings and struts that you can replaced while you have everything apart. Maybe you'll notice a way to do it faster too!

Step 3. Ensure you have all the tools to get the job done as well as the parts

Step 4. Execute Section 10-17 'STEERING GEAR - REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION'

NOTE: Check with your local dealer and give the service department your V/N and they will tell you what rack and pinion you need as they vary;

SBA - Standard Steering

SBP - Performance Steering

SBC - Speed Proportional Steering

(Your vehicle will only support 1 type of rack)

Budget 3.5 hours if you know what your doing and 5-7 if you don't.

I just did all this research today for myself and noticed it was really hard to find so I hope this helps some people!
