to replace the spring the easiest way and the safest. go to Advanced auto or an auto store. order a strut spring kit from monroe. it runs 150 dollars get about 10 - 15 extra heavy duty zip ties and jack up the out side of the car take off the wheel and have the car on a stand or block. unbolt the strut now, have someone heavy or 2 people sit on the trunk while on the stand or block. this will compress the spring and you can not use the zip ties to wrap around the full length of the spring. make sure they are tight and use a lot of them. and not the strut will fall out when the people get off the car. not do this in reverse order with the new unit. and dome it taes about 3- 50 minutes to do. just be careful of the spring and the zip ties snapping loose. you can use a chain or a heavy rope I used a heavy rope and made loops in the rope.
