where would the spark plugs at on a Oldsmobile 1989 engine

Disconnect the battery, remove the spark plug cables and boot covers, remove and dispose of the old spark plugs. Next, put in the new spark plugs, attach the boot covers and cables and reconnect the battery.

Just follow the plug wires to the chambers and you'll find the spark plugs.

Yes ( the 2.3 liter in the Ford Ranger from 1989 to 1997 has 8 spark plugs ) and the 2.5 liter from 1998 to 2001 also has 8 spark plugs

i dont know trying to find the answer my self

gmc jimmy1989 firing order spark plugs

you need to buy spark plugs and spark plug wires first. Buy a spacer so you can replace the spark plug back into the hole correctly. First, take the spark plug wires off the spark plugs BUT NOT OFF THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP!!! Then, put the new spark plugs in using the spacer and ratchet. It doesn't matter which spark plug goes where. (wrench, pliers, whatever). Next replace ONE WIRE AT A TIME so as not to mess up the firing mechanism. Make sure you replace the wire in the exact position as the old one was. Otherwise, if replaced incorrectly, the engine will fire each piston at different times. Then, start the engine. If your engine starts to gurgle or sound funny and vibrates, that means you have incorrectly replaced the wires and you need to switch the order of the wires. If the engine is running properly, good job!

According to one of Fords websites : For the 2.3 liter four cylinder engine in a 1989 Ford Tempo : ( the spark plugs are gapped at .054 inch )

WHAT YOU DO IS YOU REMOVE THE WIRES ONE BY ONE AND REPLACE THE PLUG AND WIRE BEFORE YOU REMOVE ANYOTHER WIRES OR ELSE KNOW THE FIRING ORDER

According to one of Fords websites : For a 1989 Ford Escort , 1.9 liter four cylinder engine : The spark plugs are gapped at ( .044 inch )

When you buy your AC-Delco recommended spark plugs, the person who identified the spark plugs for you at the parts shop can find the gap on the computer he used to identify, and gap them for you. Most cases, the spark plug is already gaped because it is matched with the car, especially if you buy AC-Delco Plugs as the manufacturer suggests.

Start with the battery. Without its power there is no spark. From there you go to the coil. Then go to the distributor and finally to the plugs. Check your plug wires also.

To replace spark plugs: 1. Remove the spark plug wire. Twist the boot to free it up from the spark plug, then pull the wire off with the boot. 2. Use a 5/8" spark plug socket with suitable extension and either a ratchet or breaker bar to loosen the spar plug and take it out. 3. Set the gap on the new spark plug to 0.045" and use the spark plug socket to install it. 4. Reattach the spark plug wire and move to the next spark plug. I do them one at a time, that way I don't get them mixed up. Now may be a good time to replace the spark plug wires.

Could be a variety of things. What kind of load towing or electrical? check fuel/ fuel quality, Timing, spark plugs wires cap rotor,if electical could be battery or alternator

Some honda i-DSI engines, alfa romeos Twin spark and nissan's NAP-Z engines had dual spark plug setups. 1989-1991Ford 4 cylinders and Mercedes M112 and M113 also had 2 spark plugs per cylinder.

well if you are just changing the spark plugs and not the wires, take off one wire at a time from the end of the spark plug. you will need a deep spark plug socket to take off the plugs (turn them counter clockwise). take the old one out, toss it. if you can on the new one, put some anti-seizing compound on it (around the part that screws in). then using the SP socket, put it back in where the spark plug you took out was. don't over or under-tighten these though. replace the wire on the spark plug, and move on to the next one. be sure not to mix the spark plug wires, or your firing order will be off.
