1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Raise front of vehicle and support it it securely on jackstands. Remove dust covers if equipped.
3. From under vehicle, disconnect solenoid wire and battery cable from the terminals on the rear of the solenoid.
4. Remove starter motor bolts.
5. Remove starter motor. Note the location of spacer shims.
6. Installation is reverse of removal. Be sure to install the spacer shims in exactly the same location.
