First you will want to drain the Power Steering fluid from the system. You can do this with a suction gun if you have one, a turkey baster if you don't mind ruining it and it will fit in the reservoir or you can remove the hose clamp from the bottom of the reservoir and let it drain, just make sure you have some way to catch it all.

Next you will remove the supply hose from the pump. You will need pliers to squeeze the clamps holding the tubing on. This is followed by the hose connected to the top part of the pump by the large banjo bolt. Be careful when you remove the banjo bolt, there is a small copper gasket/spacer on there that may get lost, you will want to avoid that.

Now you will have to remove the bolts holding the pump on to its bracket. Now you wan remove the pump from the vehicle, this is also a good point to change the power steering belt.

Installation is basically the reverse of installation but you have to make sure to tighten the power steering belt. The best way I have found to do this is to finger tighten the bolts that hold the pump to the bracket and use a pry bar. Put the end of the pry bar against the back of the bracket (closest to the engine block); Using that as a pivot you can pry the pump toward you and tighten the belt. There should be about a half an inch to one inch of deflection (press down on the belt firmly) in the belt when its properly tightened (if it squeals when you run the car it may be to tight or to lose).

Now put the power steering lines back in place, be careful to put the copper spacer back on the banjo bolt, with out that it will leak. Once you have all the bits back in place and tightened down you need to refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system. This is also a good place to replace the power steering fluid.

To bleed the power steering system you need to start with the wheels in the straight ahead position and fill the reservoir to the fill line. Now start the car and let it run at a fast idle (roughly 1500 RPM or so). Check the fluid level and add fluid as needed. Now turn the wheels from side to side without hitting the stops, this will get all the air out of the system. Again check the fluid level and add fluid as needed. After you feel like all the air is out if the system let the car idle normally for several more minutes, then shut it off.

All that remains now is to road test you car to ensure that everything is working properly. Recheck your fluid level to make sure you have no leaks and that all the air is out of the system, and you are DONE.
