If you are talking about the frame that holds the engine in to the body, Its easy. there is a bolt that runs up into the body at the bottom of the bushing. Simply remove it and the lower drops out on the bolt. The upper may need to be separated from the body and the subframe (engine cradle) with a pry bar enough to slide it out. Slide the new one in, put a new lower one on the bolt, then insert the bolt back into the mounting hole.
To change the subframe bushings on a 1996 Chrysler LHS, first, safely lift and support the vehicle on jack stands. Remove the subframe bolts and carefully lower the subframe to access the bushings. Replace the old bushings with new ones, ensuring they are properly seated, then reattach the subframe and torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, lower the vehicle and perform a thorough check to ensure everything is secure.
Replacing the subframe bushings on a 1999 Chrysler LHS can be moderately challenging, especially without prior experience. It typically requires a good set of tools, including a jack, jack stands, and possibly a press to remove and install the bushings. Access to the subframe can be limited, so some disassembly of components may be necessary. Overall, it's a task that may take several hours and could be best suited for someone with mechanical skills.
