You don't. The unit is sealed. You will have to replace the A/C control unit. Bad bulbs are common with these vehicles, so if you plan to keep your vehicle to 200K+ miles, and you can't deal with non functioning lights, you will purchase several of these. I went through three in 60K miles.

If you are talking about the lights behind the AC control buttons, they are "grain of rice" style bulbs. I found them at a railroading model/hobby shop. Be sure they are rated for 12V. Remove the dash panel around the AC controller, remove the AC control unit, pry apart the front panel to access the PC board which the original bulbs are soldered to.

In a 97-03, the bulbs are soldered into the circuit board of the heater controls. Remove the heater control assembly and disassemble it to the board. Desolder the bulbs and replace with new ones from either radio shack or corvetteradios.com. The bulbs are 12v but I don't know the wattage. CorvetteRadios has bulbs for the CD player as well which are similarly soldered into the circuit board on the face plate.
