Just remove the old one (4 screws) and put in a new one. Simple task, except you must remove the rubber boot between filter box and plenum to make the job easy. AI suspect you are talking about the Cabin filter? If so, it is located on the passenger side, below the windshield. Turn on the ignition, wipers, and stop them in the up position by turning off the ignition when they are up. Now raise the hood and look on the passenger side. The plastic panel just below the windshield must be removed to gain access to the filter. 4 plastic clips hold it in place. Pull the center up in each clip and the clip will come right out. Reverse to install. If you purchase a Purolator Cabin filter, it comes with instructions.

It's in the airbox at the front corner of the engine compartment (I can't remember which side). Check your owner's manual, it'll tell you where to find it and how to change it.
Find it by tracing the fuel line from the engine to the tank. It does require special tools available at the parts store and are cheap.
