In some older rear projection televisions, the audio power amp is separate from the video chassis. It can be bypassed or replaced. But in most (if not all) flat screen televisions, the audio power amp is integrated into the set, and cannot be readily replaced. It can be repaired, but I don't think that is what you were asking.
How do you replace the amplifier in a 2002 ml 500? i need to know where in the 2002 ml500 i can find the audio amplifier
Yes you would hook the audio line into the amp then to the speaker from there.
Speakers are analog devices. There is no cable and connector that will connect a digital audio jack to a speaker without a digital to analog conversion and an amplifier. If the audio output is digital, you will need a compatible amplifier that has the same digital input. Then you will need to link the amplifier to the speaker with exterior grade cable.
Plug the audio system into the AUDIO OUTPUT jacks on the LCD. Go into the menu and change the signal to the jacks to FIXED if you can.
If you want an audio output from the TV to connect to a home theater receiver or other amplifier, you will have to use the optical digital audio output or Audio Return Channel through the HDMI connectors. Those are the only outputs on this TV.
If the TV has an audio output, connect this to a stereo amplifier, and then connect speakers to this. Modern TV's don't have amplifiers for external speakers.
To hook up a VCR to an amplifier, first connect the VCR's audio output (usually RCA jacks labeled red and white) to the corresponding audio input on the amplifier. Then, connect the VCR's video output (typically a yellow RCA jack) to your TV for visual output. Make sure to select the correct input on your amplifier to hear the VCR's audio. Finally, power everything on and adjust the volume as needed.
audio amplifier
The TV will need to have AUDIO OUTPUT jacks to connect to the speakers or a amplifier to power the speakers and subwoofer.
In audio look at an amplifier. It will be always a voltage amplifier.
If there are no speaker connections on the back of the TV, then you need to buy a sound system. The 5.1 is popular and many programs are recorded with a Surround 5.1 audio track. This system will have its own amplifier and sometimes speakers. Something with about 100 watts per channel would be good. Then connect AUDIO OUT from the TV to AUDIO IN on the sound system. Go into the audio menu and set the Audio output to FIXED.
The optical cable would be the best choice.
