Your wiring is probably messed up, happened to me. Locate the wires from the blower to the controls check them and replace as needed. Assuming no wiring problem check and replace the blower motor resistor.
To replace the alternator you must tip the motor. by removing the motor mounts in front on the motor.just the two top ones and than roll the motor forward. that will give you enough room to remove the alternator

The blower rheostat on a 93 Pontiac Grand Am is located inside the engine bay, just to the right of the blower fan housing. It is almost directly behind the trans dipstick. It isn't that hard to replace.

Sounds like the heater core is leaking its a big job probably best left to the professionals

Check to see if you are getting power to blower motor - if so replace blower motor If not check fuse, switch, resistor pack.
