Any transmission that is bolted to the same engine number. My subaru has an ea82 engine so any transmission that is bolted to an ea82 engine will fit. It has to be the same as far as automatic replacing automatic. Manual replacing manual.
I was able to find a used 1.8 moter for my 92 Loyale from Spillmans auto body in Iowa.Took me over a year to track on down, unless you want a rebuild. And that's 700-800 bucks.....
Near the front of the engine if it's a 92. The rear nut is for the transmission fluid, which should be changed every 30,000 or so, unless it's older.
Replace the Distributor, i did this on my 87, and my speedo started working again.
A 92 doesnt have a distributor just coil packs
Yes you can put a turbo 1.8 engine in a 92 Loyale, it will bolt up, but you would have to change the engine to brain box wiring harness and probably the brain box as well. The latest Subaru model with turbo is 1990 and earliest is 1985 all with multi-port fuel injection. Point to consider, the turbo engine will make more hp. but you will lose mpg. also the engine may not last as long and there is a cracking of the heads that may become a problem also.
1-3-2-4 distributor rotor turns counter-clockwise cylinder layout: 3 4 1 2 front of car
In the distributor. You have to remove the distributor cap to gain access to it.
sounds like your tranny is slipping, try Lucas Transmission Stop Slip, if it doesnt help, then your trans probbably needs rebuilt.
No, it still has a distributor.
IT IS A BAD IGNITOR ON THE INSIDE OF THE DISTRIBUTOR.
remove dist and take it completely apart. You have to cut the old bearing off with a dremal tool then put it back together
