How do you replace the driver side airbag on a 1998 Chevy Malibu?

,first drop the bottom cover, just behind the wheel, then if you turn the steering wheel 1/2 way in either direction there is a tourque screw t-20 ( I think ) right next to that is a small channel inside there is a metal clip , with a small screw driver move both and that will release air bag. remove power side of batt and tap it to ground reinstall air bag and plug it in then you can hook batt back up. if you don't see a slot there maybe a tiny hole on both sides of airbag using a small tool pop the pins should come out , some times is a real pain hope this helped
