On Power Strokes, the fuel filter is located in the middle Of the engine under the cover that says Power Stroke 7.3. Remove the cover, if still there, remove the filter cover. Pull the old filter out, let it drip fuel, then place old filter in a pan. Slowly immerse new filter into housing. There will be some spillage.

Fuel starvation, replace diesel filters first, then check lift pump for proper operation and fuel pressure.Also check for leaks in the fuel lines, and return lines...common problems on diesel engines.
If you 350 diesel is a 1995 it will have a manual fuel pump it is located in the middle of motor right behind the water/fuel filter look & answer on how to replace on this home page. correction ,this is not a manual fuel pump.it is a mechanical fuel pump
Either manually pump fuel from the fuel tanks to the fuel filter, or else open up the fuel filter, and pour some diesel fuel directly into it.
In dusty conditions, or with extensive idling replace fuel filters every 15,000 miles.
Drain the tank, replace fuel filters, refill with gas and hope for the best.
If you go to NAPA they have instructions that come with the fuel filters and what to do. There are 2 filters. One my the engine oil housing and 1 underneath by the drivers side door. You need a 1/2 inch drive to open the one by the engine and a 1 7/16 or 32mm socket to loosen the housing. Drain the housing by using a 7/32 Allen wrench. Replace filters.
The Ford F350's take diesel fuel in most instances unless they have been modified to take regular fuel. Be sure to check your owners manual to see which kind of fuel your truck takes.
