fuel pump is in the tank, but there is an access plate in the trunk on the forward right side. Just pull up the trunk liner carpet and unbolt the panel for access to the pump.
It is easy enough to get to. But unlocking the retaining ring is often a different story. it you can not get it off by traditional method-punch and hammer. Try a megasized pair of channel lock pliers and a lot of muscle. It helps to soak the ring first with WD-40 or any other rust penetrant. Let it sit for about 20-30 minutes.
