detach the bulbs and remove the clips behind the headlight assembly
Yes it will same from 83-92.
The headlight adjusting screws are accessible from the rear of the headlight, you have to open the hood to access them.
If it is done the same way as a 1998 Ranger you need to unscrew 2 screws on the bottom of the light assembley (in the narrow space between the bumper and the bottom of the assembly) and pop the top portion of the assembly away from the fender using a flat-head screwdriver. The bulb sockets release with a 1/4 turn. Remove the old bulb replace with the new and put the socket back into place. Then re-assemble the light assembly. NOTE: the headlight assembly is a separate part on a 1998 Ranger.
hey, you kick it but not to hard that you break it
I assume you are asking because you want to replace the bulb, so the answer that follows is to disassemble the headlight and reassemble it with a new bulb. 1. Remove the headlamp door attaching screws and remove the headlamp door. 2. Remove the headlight retaining ring screws and remove the retaining ring. DO NOT disturb the headlight adjustment screw settings. 3. Pull the headlight bulb forward and disconnect the wiring assembly plug from the bulb. 4. Connect the wiring assembly plug to the new bulb. Place the bulb in position, making sure the locating tabs of the bulb are fitted in the positioning slots. 5. Install the headlight retaining ring. 6. Place the headlight trim ring or door into position and install the retaining ring screws. This is quoted from Chilton's repair manual for the 1983-1994 Ford Ranger, Bronco II, and Explorer. I followed these directions and was able to replace the bulbs on my 89 Ranger. Good Luck!
# Open the hood. # Look directly above the headlight. # There are two black pull tabs, pull straight up on both. # The whole headlight assembly will come out.

(1) Open the hood; (2)unscrew the retainer from the back of the headlight; (3)pull the bulb socket out of the headlight assembly; (4)pull out the housing clips and remove the housing from the grill. NOTE:on later models there only 2 clips that are pulled up to release the headlight housing - one on each side. After pulling them up, simply move the headlamp housing forward from the vehicle. It may also be necessary to remove the headlight housing to change the bulb. - Haynes Repair Manual #36071; 1993-2005 Ford Ranger Pickups.
