are you seriously asking this question? this has got to be the dumbest question I've ever heard. if you don't know how to replace a license plate on a specific car, you have bigger problems than driving. USE A SCREWDRIVER!!! how dumb can you be? a 94 escort will probably be a flat screwdriver or, like mine, a hex end that measures 10 mm. screwdriver, wrench, or a ratchet with a 10 mil socket. seriously, use your eyes and look at it... it'll come to you, i promise

Remove two rear lamp bolt/screws from rear license lamp. Remove lacense lamp from rear bumper fascia. Remove license lamp bulb and socket from rear license lamp. Replace bulb and install using reverse procedure.

I had to open my trunk, look inside and find butterfly/thumb screws. I un-fastened them and dropped down the entire light bank including the licence plate. One big strip. You can then access the lights from the back of the strip.
