Just above the license plate you will see the plastic lens that the bulb sits inside. On either side of the lens is a screw. Take them out and gently pry out the lens. On the back will be a clip that fits into the housing. Find the realease tab and pull out the clip with the wires attached.
Now the piece attached to the back of the lens housing, that the wire clip fit into, comes off when you give it a 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Pull it out of the back of the housing and you will see the bulb. The bulb pulls straight out.
The bulb can be purchased at any auto parts store. The wired clip does not have to come off the back to get the bulb out. I just thought it is a little easier for some.

Have you tried changing the bulbs first?
The brake light on a Hyundai Santa Fe is replaced by removing the retaining screws, twisting the bulb, and unscrewing it from the wiring harness. A new bulb is then installed and the assembly put back in place.
there are two spots above the license plate where the lights go on each one there should be a spot where you can push the cover in and then just pull out at an angle

take the two screws out. the back of the light is connected with a rubber plug un hooked it an pull off the light,twist the bulb out of the scoket. my advise replace all thre bulbs

You need to replace the timing belts
