You start by taking off the cover and insulation on the inside of the truck directly inside the mirror. It snaps on so gently pry it off with a screwdriver. Inside you will see four nuts that need to be unscrewed. Gently loosen them, to the left, and tap the mirror gently and the whole assembly will pop off. If you just want to remove the mirror you have to gently pry it off using a screwdriver.
