I believe they just unbolt from the outside of the door and if remote controlled you will have to take inside door panel off to get the cable out.
they never built a 64 charger as the 66 was the first year, they built a prototype car in 64 that was called a charger but it had a turbine engine.

Back in 66 and 67 the sister car was the coronet but in 68 the charger took on it's own identity.
1966 was the first year of production chargers, I had one back then.
my 66 charger had seat belts front and rear, don't remember if they were standard equiptment or an option back then.
It means that it has the hemi engine, back in 66 when the 426 hemi engine was installed in the dodge line it was the hottest engine going at the time, if you had a hemi under the hood you were feared and not many others with high performance cars would mess with you unless they wanted to get beat.
