I just did this myself and it was easy, didn't even have to remove the door panel. I am not a mechanic and I did it in 15 minutes. This procedure also works with passenger side mirror.
1. Remove triangle shape cover inside the door by the mirror. I did it by hand.
2. Remove any foam to expose 3 bolts. You will need a hex tool to remove bolts
3. Disconnect electrical connector prior to removal
4. Installation of mirror is just the reverse.

Remove the dppr panel and there are screws on the inside.
juss hit it from the back that's how it works on mine There are two parts, the outside mirror and an inside plate with a toggle in it to move the mirror around. Inside plate just pops out. It is held in by two clips. Use a flat screwdriver around the outside to loosen and it will pop out. Then you must loosen the screw holding the toggle in place. This is done using a small Allen key. Once you have done this, pull toggle out and remove the plate completely. Then the mirror is held in place by three nuts on the inside of the door. Loosen them off. Remove the mirror from the ouside. Replace it by doing this in reverse order. Good luck. Be careful not to rip insulation piece on outside of door.
on mine i had to take the door panel off to get to the bolts, after that its easy
