It's not too hard to replace it, you can probably fix the motor then put it back in. First remove the door cover with a large screw driver by popping it off the clips. Leave the door half open to get to all the clips. Once the cover is off remove the middle seat so you can sit inside and remove the motor. Unplug the back electric connector and with large pliers pull the 4 white pins out. Then remove the clip that holds the cable in. the motor will come right out. unplug the 2 prong wire from the motor top then remove the black motor cap with a star nut screwdriver. Remove the coil and the metal disk, you can either clean and sand it smooth or just flip it over. Put it all back together. It took me about an hour, most of the time was getting the door cover off and back on.
