The serpentine belt on a Saab 9-5 4 cylinder is replaced by loosening the idler pulley and slipping the belt off. It can then be removed from the remaining engine accessories and a new belt put in place.
Feed belt around all pulleys as owners manual shows, take 6or8 inch 1/2 socket extension bar and place in tensioner top.Pull towards front of engine, you will see pully move, slip belt on making sure belt is on all pulleys and line up in grooves.Release extension bar towards back of motor and belt should be tight.
how do you set the timing belt on a 1997 ford contour 2.0 4cy
new timing belt every fifty 50,000 mi. yes it is an interference head
No. The entire driveline would need to be replaced. You could if you change the engine, trans, wiring , computer, radiator,.......
Mazda recommends replacing the timing belt every 60,000 miles. If you didn't do it at 60,000, DO IT NOW. Not sure if this is a zero-clearance engine, but I don't believe it is.
The 2.2L engine doesn't have a distributor.
It is inside of the fuel tank.
