You will need to loosen the tensioner pulley in order to create slack in the serpentine belt. The belt will come off with the tensioner pulley loose. Reverse the process to install the new serpentine belt.

Go to www.Nissan .com and look up the year make and model of the car and look at the engine schematics. Otherwise take the belt off of the pulleys i.e alternator starter and so forth and just rethread a new one on as you take the old one off

There are no timing belts on 2005 XL7. Cams are chain driven ala old school tech that lasts
