You have to use plug socket on a swivel and some extensions to geet them loose. I hit ACE Hardware and found a pair of REALLY long needle nose in that cheapo tool table they always have. Used the bent pair to remove/place the plug that is under the manifold. Helps to have long fingers, a very clean engine and a good distance from kids so you can use foul language (it helps!). Try to get a grip on the wire end to pull them off rather than just tuggin on the wires. If you decapitate it you MUSt replace it. Can't just jam it back on like old style beetle wires.
I want to know
Get a spark plug socket and unscrew the spark plug and replace with a new one.
Pull out the upper intake manifold. they are near the injectors in the front.
through the tire wells
Disconnect the battery, remove the spark plug cables, and remove the old spark plugs. Put in the new spark plugs, attached the spark plug cables, and connect the battery.
Disconnect the battery, remove the boots and wires, and remove the old spark plugs. Put in the new spark plugs, reattach the boots and wires, and connect the battery.
