on a 2001 4cyl eclipse look on the top of the valve cover. There should be two black coil packs with two 10 mm bolts each. also there should be 2 black rubber caps with wires coming out of the top. ONE At The TIME!!! remove one of the black coil packs with is attached so be careful the the lower half of the electrode ... take a 5/8 plug socket on a 6"-10" 3/8 drive ext with racthet and remove the plug at the bottom of the hole ... replace with new electrode and firmly press the coil pack back to it the bolt down. repeat with all four and it should complete your job trouble free Daniel from South Mississippi
All depends on what kind of spark plugs you have. It could either be 30,000 miles or 150,000 miles.
If you dont know how to replace spark plugs I recomend you go to someone that does and have him show you because you might do more bad then good trying to change them for the first time.

You can remove the spark plugs in your 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse by turning the spark plugs to the left. You should use a 5/8 deep well socket. The spark plugs will come out.
