Im not sure entirely if the 1994 models have a speedometer cable. It may be a vss2 system.
if it has a cable this is how you change it: look under the hood toward the passenger side of the transmission. the speedometer cable will come out of the transmission on this side and enter the firewall. the speedometer cable is a 2 part unit separating just outside the transmission about 6 inch's. you will see a section where it will separate.there is a small metel clip on the line you pull off and the cable will fall in half. the part left in the trannsmission simply unscrews. the other end is a bit more complicated, first remove the cover over your instruments by removing the 4 Phillips head screws. then remove the instrument case itself by removing 4 more Phillips head screws. the instrument case will wiggle but will not putt out until you disconnect the 6 wiring connectors in the back. once it is pulled out alittle bit you can access the back of the speedometer. there are three little metel tabs holding the cable on pry them back and the cable just pulls out. then you just work the gromet out of the firewall where the cable runs through.
if you notice while locating the entrance point on the transmission that it is not a speedometer cable at all but a sensor with two wires running off it you may be in for an easy fix. it has the (vss2) vehical speed sensor 2 system wich is simply disconnect the wires unscrew and screw in the replacement sensor.
sensor is about 100 dollars the cable is about 60 dollars

what is the cost to fix an overheating Subaru Legacy Wagon. Is it the thermostat? How much are they to replace?
I've been looking for the same thing on a 94 subaru legacy wagon. There is a rear lens for your 95 subaru legacy wagon selling on eBay right now...
I have a 1996 Subaru Legacy L Wagon and it was about $280 to replace the starter where I live. Starters can cost around $100-$300, plus you'll have to pay for labor.

If a bolt is stripped on the windshield wiper on a 1995 Subaru Legacy Wagon, there are two options. A person can go to a salvage yard and purchase new wipers for the vehicle, or they can have the bolt hole tapped for a larger bolt.
See your user manual, its great for help with all the basic maintenance
