first jack up the front of your car and place jack stands under it. disconect the battery first.
right in the front under the car is the starter. remove both bolts holding the starter in and lower it to get to the back of the starter. there should be three wires attached to the starter. make sure to draw yourself a diagram to reinstall the wires to the correct posts.
This is a very truncated explanation. Changing the starter on this car is WAY more involved than this...
1. Do disconnect the battery(This is a good time to test/replace your battery.)
2. Jack the front of the car up, place sturdy steel braces on either side of the lower frame support.
3. the small cylinder sitting on top of the larger cylinder is your starter assembly. there is a plastic protector on the assembly on the flywheel end, you will need to remove three bolts along with this part to gain access to the back bolt of your starter.
4. remove the bolts and connections from the top cylinder of the starter assembly, taking close note of where the wires and bolts connect.
5.there are two main bolts you need to remove to get access to your starter. One is evident, at the base of the starter(flywheel side), pointing up towards the hood(15mm).
6. There is a brace for an engine damper to the right(looking from front of car) of the starter. Depending on your skill/tools, you may have to remove this brace to gain access to the 1st bolt. Bolts on the brace are 13mm....a real pain amidst all the other even size bolts.
7. The other bolt...is oriented the same as the other bolt, just on the other side of the starter. If you removed the plastic shield mentioned before, you will be able to see this bolt. The easiest vantage to this bolt is to look at your starter from behind the brace running from wheel to wheel in front of the oil pan.
8. after removing these two bolts, you should be able to remove the starter assembly with relative ease...most of these cars are dinosaurs and will have some some degree of grime and oil which will require more than a little "coaxing" to pull it out.
9. By now you have a new starter to install, which is a simple matter of following these steps in reverse order.
Happy Wrenching!

There is no way to post a picture here, but all starters look pretty much the same. You can go to an on-line parts source such as Autozone, Kragens or Napaonline, they usually have pictures of their merchandise.
