remove the attaching nuts, and with a ball joint removal tool, remove old link. Then install new link, and torque new nuts to specs.

My 95 Ford Thunderbird service manual shows the scan tool plug-in (Data Link Connector) on the R.H. side of the instrument panel, under the glove compartment door and on the R.H. side of the engine compartment over the wheel well. This is for the 3.8L V6 engine.

Some 1990s had a fusible link. I am not aware of any with a fuse. The fusible link is between the alternator and the battery, connected with heavy wire. Kind of easy to miss. http://www.marksatterfield.com
