If its a 2.2 I believe its where the lower radiator hose connects to the engine, the goose neck has two bolts with 8mm head , the thermostat has a rubber o ring for a gasket. go to the GM dealer and buy a GM thermostat only. There is something special about them , a napa , a autozone or any aftermarket one will not open when they are mounted at the lower hose. earlier cavalier's with a 2.2 had them mounted at the top radiator hose any one will work there.
