Could someone post directions on how to change the thermostat on a 2002 Pont. Aztek? Is it any different than a 2003?
It shouldn't be any different....

Where is the fuel shut off on 2002 aztek
The thermostat is located in the housing where the top radiator hose connects to the engine. You will have to disconnect the hose and unbolt the housing to get to the thermostat.
It doesn't matter. A thermostat is a non-serviceable item. If it is bad, you replace it. That probably isn't your problem though.
thermostat on a ford 2002
Yes (all Azteks have the same engine. Mind you, Azteks were only made from 2001-2005) - GM 3400 3.4-liter V6 185 Horse Power and 210lbs of torque. Many GM cars have this engine, including the Pontiac Grand Am, which says "RAM AIR" under the hood, but has no such thing. :-D lol
The Aztek holds 5 qts of oil
To replace the thermostat on a 2002 Cavalier 22 Ecotec, drain the radiator and remove the upper hose assembly. Replace the thermostat and refill the radiator.
Just the thermostat and the gasket.
I just had one replaced on my 2001 Aztek. It is inside the fuel tank. This was a costly experience. Fuel pumps are expensive then the labor to drop the fuel tank and replace it is crazy!!
Green. The 3.4 motor does not have any aluminum parts internally, so green is standard.
I have to pull a fuse to get mine to work and then replace it. It only works once, so every time I want in the hatch, I have to open the hood, open the fuse box, remove and then replace the fuse. I can then open the hatch once.
