YOU DONT. ITS A CHAIN.
The 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine in a 2005 Toyota Rav 4 has a timing CHAIN
It must have a TIMING CHAIN because Gates ( they make timing belts etc. ) does not list a timing belt for the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder in a 2005 Toyota Rav 4
According to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) For the 2.0 litre four cylinder engine in a 1997 Toyota RAV 4 ( 60,000 miles )
The 3.5 litre V6 engine in a 2007 Toyota RAV 4 has a timing CHAIN
Timing belt, and it's a beast due to the close proximity to the frame rail.
1994 Rav 4 engine code 3S-FE Is belt driven.
on a rav 4 diesal you should change the timing belt every 65000miles
It must have a timing chain , the gates website does not list a timing belt for the 3.5 liter V6 in a 2009 Toyota RAV4
Are you sure your 2003 Rav 4 has a timing belt? I think you will find it has a timing chain and not a belt. Look in your owner's manual at the maintenance schedule to see if it is listed as a maintenance item.
The 2003 Toyota RAV 4 - 2.0 liter 4 cylinder has a timing CHAIN
On a 2008 Toyota RAV4 : Both the 2.4 liter four cylinder engine and the 3.5 liter V6 engine have a timing CHAIN
It is recommended at 90000 miles before major problems result from not changing it
my rav4 has a timing chain and i guess it all depends upon what kind of engine installed to youb rav4
My independent Toyota trained mechanic recommended the factory requirement of 90,000 miles. Hope this is helpful.
2001 rav 4 has a chain timing belt so it does not need to to be replace. To replace the serpentine belt, all you need is one socket rench. There are six moving parts. between the top belt there is one screw nut, put the socket rench in and pull it clockwise. (you must turn clockwise as hard as you can till the belt moves and slide it off. if you look at the smaller wheel, the nut is there @ 1 o'clock just underneath the top belt. It will take about ten minutes. I just did it on my 2001 rav 4. Good luck, hope this help. Always good to spend less during this bad economy. Have F.A.I.T.H you CAN DO IT. hsssssss don't tell you know who.....
to replace the belt, all you need to do is put the new one on!
Timing CHAIN , 4 cylinder and V6
The 2001 to 2004 2.0L RAV4 all models do not need timing belt change due it doesn't have one, it have a chain that not need replacement only if it breaks (hardly). hope this help.
No it will not. Unless it has slip so mush that it has changed timing. Check the ignition timing for your car, make sure that it's correct. If not you have to fix it ASAP.
Interval is - 100000 kms On the 1996-97 replace it every 60,000 miles. On the 1998-2000 replace it every 90,000 miles. Also replace the water pump which is driven by the cam belt. This is NOT an interference engine.
It must have a timing CHAIN because the Gates website ( they make timing belts etc. ) does not list a timing belt
No need to change it - it's a CHAIN
According to Toyota, 965$ + tax
