The timing belts on PT Cruisers are a bit difficult to replace. Aside from the trouble of having very little room to work, there are other things to consider. The motor mount on the passenger side must be removed, which means jacking up and bracing the engine. You must also remove the front tire on the passenger side in order to gain access to the front of the engine to remove the crankshaft pully. You will probably need a puller to get the pully off. You may also need to remove the lower strut. The best thing to do, thanks to Chrysler, is to take it to a qualified mechanic. Call around and get a few estimates.
