As i recall, the water pump is bolted to the front of the engine block. The cooling fan, is then bolted to a 2" dia. flange, with 4 machine theard (fine) bolts that have 7"/16

There is a plate between the pump and the timing cover, don't forget to reuse that plate. The new pump should come with 2 gaskets, one goes between the pump and plate, the other goes between the plate and timing cover.
