First, disconnet the Negative Battery cable from the battery terminal.
2nd, Loosen the bolts on the wp pully, but do not remove them yet.
3rd, loosen and remove the belt(s)
4th, remove the pully completely from the wp
5th, break loose and remove the wp fasteners (6 ea)
6th, clean all mating areas exposed from wp removal, including the fasteners. Inspect for damage in all areas including the wp fasteners.
Note: Be aware of a WP inlet tube which is independant of the engine mating area. Clean and inspect the tubeing end as well during inspection, you'll replace the o-ring for the tubing end as well as the main wp mating flangel
7th, apply a thin coat of rtv blue sealer around the o-ring areas to add postive seal due to possible pitting from corrsion, just before installing the wp.
Install comonents in the reverse order of removal above.

The flasher for the 1989 Honda accord is located above the steering column. To activate it shift it to the right.
One in excellent condition will be worth around $4,000 average retail.
