remove and replace water pump in 1997 Oldsmobile aurora
is it hard to replace a waterpump out of a oldsmobile aurora 95
On my 1998 Aurora with a 4.0L V8, the water pump is on the driver's side of the engine. It is right at the top of the engine.

If your 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora keeps overheating and the issue is not the thermostat or the water pump, it could be the cooling fan. It might also be the radiator (leaking) or the hoses between the engine and radiator, or the shroud could be clogged or damaged.
with special tool about 1hr.
lower the engine from the car
water pump has some (2) pins into the block...it needs to be pryed stright off.
We replaced ours and it cost 21.95 for a lifetime water pump.....My husband replaced it by himself...
If it is in the front seat... it is because the drainage plug for the a/c is clogged. I have a 95 aurora.. and it was doing same thing.. turns out the drain plug was blocked so condensation from the a/c vents/coils wasnt draining outside the car but inside onto the floor.. you will have to get under the car.. on the passenger side of the car on the firewall there is a little black rubber elbow coming out. Carefully pry it out.. be prepared though cause the water will gush out...clean out the build up in the rubber elbow and replace..
maybe this will help,,, i just replaced the water pump, heater core, thermostat, battery, alternater on my Oldsmobile and found this site to be very helpful even has pictures AutoMedia.com maybe you can find your answer there good luck
Remove the serpentine belt then remove the water pump bolts and any attached hoses. It would help to know what year, model, or engine size.
