If its the back ones, take it to the dealer, there is a recall on that!
The way that replace a window regulator in a 2003 Buick LeSabre front drive side is by removing the door panel. Next, disconnect the electrical connector on the regulator and replace.
Take your door panel off and replace them...
You will have to replace the regulator assembly.
the cable is frayed ,you will have to replace the window regulator motor assy.
Take it so a Auto Glass store and they will do it.
If the window regulator cable has failed, the entire regulator will have to be replaced.
the VW regulator system is very difficult to DIY. It is very well be worth your time to take it to a mechanic
Try this link, http://www.a1electric.com/grandam.htm. It shows how to replace the entire window regulator assembly (which includes the motor). Probably the cleanest description I have found.
No they are not. They are available separately. The motor is available from most parts houses...the regulator is dealer only!!!
Most likely the cables in the regulator have tied into a knot in t6he gear housing. You will have to replace the regulator assy.
Follow the instructions on the link below. If you take your time and have patience, it isn't too bad. http://www.denlorstools.com/autoblog/2008/10/new-beetle-quarter-window-replacement-auto-tools/
Most likely it is the regulator, either the cable is broken or the plastic at the top broke and the cable became unspooled and wrapped around itself. The window is held in by two screws that tighten a clamp on the window that holds pretty tight so it is doubtful it is that.
