First, the serial number will be on the nameplate, which will also have the manufacturer's name. If you look up the manufacturer's website, you may find that you can enter the serial number (or more often the model number) into a form to give you data on that product. If they do not have such a form, you could look for their contact us page to send them an email. I would look for a local distributor though, and go to them with your questions regarding data on that serial number.
