Just unhook the battery cables for 5 mins, That will reset the ECM
it does not have a safety switch you can reset. If the ecm (engine control module) detects no rpms it shuts down the fuel pump.
You can reset the ecm with a scan tool or by unhooking the battery.
To reset the ECM remove the battery cable (s) for a few minutes. Replace cable. ECM has been reset.
IF YOU JUST WANT TO ERASE THE ENGINE CODE GET AND OBD2 SCANNER THEY HAVE A CODE RESET FUNCTION. IF YOU NEED TO FLASH THE ECM CHECK THE DEALER FIRST, BUT SOME AFTER MARKET AUTO PARTS STORES CAN REFLASH ECM'S

just unscrew the battery terminal by 1 minute, or take off the fuse of the block panel for the same time
Disconnect the battery for five to 20 minutes. This will reset the ECM.
You don't take one out....it has to be programmed out with an aftermarket chip for the ECM.
tucked away behind the bumper by the front right wheel, you have the take the wheel liner of with 7mm socket and you will see the ecm.
