it stands for "electronic throttle system" this lights up if a fault is detected in the throttle unit. have a dealer look at this for you.
Try to disconnect the battery for a few minutes.
Disconnect the red battery wire then reconnect it.
Replace the ABS module - from what I read it will cost about 900 bucks
S70 and V70 and C70 and XC70 1. Press and hold odometer reset button. 2. Turn ignition switch to Run. 3. After SRL flashes, release odometer reset button. 4. Confirm by turning your Volvo off, then on again.
if the service light has come on, you can reset this by pressing the odo trip meter reset button on the dash. that's the one you use to reset the trip counter to zero. put key in ignition and turn to position 2, press and hold reset button for 10 seconds. light will go out.
Try This. It worked for me. with the ignition switched on press the read button on the end of the stalk then press fog light switch twice this will put you in "in vehicle" diagnostics mode in the messages pane scroll though all the checks by pressing the read button til you get to the end hey presto warning light out The 2000 year model does not have a read button on the end of the stalk. That was not brought into production until the 2001 V70
Disconnect the red battery cable. Wait a few moments and reconnect it.
