how do i reset srs light on scion tc
The check engine light is on because there is a problem with the emissions system. Have ECU scanned with OBD 2 scan tool. This will retrieve the code set by the computer. This code will tell you what part is being effected. Not necessarily the defective part. Once the problem is repaired you can reset the light with the scanner or it will reset itself after a few driving cycles.
You have a defective airbag. You replace that bag.
check the gas cap or the intake filter...
iT COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY "TOPPING OFF" THE GAS TANK. tHE EXTRA FUEL SPILLS OVER IN TO THE CHARCOAL CANISTER WHICH IS A PART OF THE EMMISIONS SYSTEM AND TRIPS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON.
You will find that info in the owners manual.
My 2006 xA engine light will periodically come on even thought the gas cap is on. When that happens, I remove the cap and replace it double-clicking it to make sure it is sealed tight. I'm going to try and clean the gasket on the cap and where the gasket seals on the tube to remody the problem.
