i have a 520 d BMW 06 have put a normal tyre on and other 3 tyres are run flats dash board still comes up with a flat tyre ,how do i reset this please
on most vehicles you can reset warning lights by simply unconnected a battery cable
It is in the Owner's Manual.
it is your run flat tyre wraning you could hav a puntcher to reset the light there isd abutton under the handbrake
reset run flat indicator
The light comes on the dash right above the odometer.
It looks like a little flat yellow tire.
You need to go under your vehicle settings. Once in the flat tire monitor, you can select reset. It may that you have a small leak which is why the light is still on.
2005 BMW 745 li getting a constant red flat tire warning light all tires are correctly pressured the tire monitor shows correct pressures?
Assuming you reset the system you may have a bad ABS sensor. Try unplugging each one individually and see if the light goes out. ed724 I recently had my 1998 Sienna serviced and this "flat tire" light/sensor came on several minutes after I drove away from the service garage. I checked all 4 tires and the pressures were correct. The service personnel manager thinks it may be because the car was slightly off-kilter on the hoist. Apparently this light comes on after detection of uneven height of the car; hence if not level on the hoist, the light will come on. The 1998 Toyota Sienna car manual does not mention that there is a "Reset button" located on the front dash at the level of the driver's left knee. To Reset, push in this button: the "flat tire" light will flash, then after a few more moments the light will go out.
Check the pressure on all of your tires. Put air in if needed. Also check your spare. Mine was coming on and I aired up the spare tire and the light went out. I guess they have a sensor on the spare to keep you from having a flat spare when you need it. Don't know this to be true, but it worked for me.
Check your owner's manual (probably page eight). There are lots of warning lights and it'd be helpful to know what they 'all 'mean. There are two possibilities for your exclamation mark depending on what else is showing. If it's the shape of a tire (which is the most likely) that's your low tire pressure warning light. The system has determined you have one or more tires running at a pressure lower than it should be. Check all your pressures (tires cold) to be sure they're where they should be then reset the light by holding the tire pressure reset button until the light blinks. Caution, don't just reset the light without adjusting pressures or you'll simply roll down the road on a flat(er) tire. Be sure and check the spare. The other exclamation point is inside a bracketed circle. That's a warning you have a problem with the braking system. It's probably red in color while the low pressure warning is amber. BTW if, for some odd reason you don't have an owner's manual, get one. Without it you'll never know all the behaviors you can modify ranging from the way the alarm works to the way the door locks function. Without a manual you'll never figure out how to reset your moonroof and auto window controls after a battery change either. Cheers
All the other answers I have found states that it relates to low tire pressure.
