foot on brake , hold trip reset in and turn on ignition after 10 seconds insp will reset then you can release all!

hold down the mileage reset then turn ignition on and until the InsP turns to ---- let the reset go and walla you can start the car or turn the ignition off This works on my Corsa, think the same instrument panel is in the astra Not sure if anyone knows but you can reset your service inspection lamp on your Vectra C, Astra H and Corsa C & D with out the aid of any diagnostic tools. Simply press the trip reset button on the dash at the same time press the brake pedal then switch on the ignition, keep brake and trip pressed for 10 to 12 seconds and hey presto its done!! it means you have a fault needs plugging into a diagnostics computer.
this means either engine management system has failed or engine check is required
