A scan tool is required.
Under the hood on the drivers side, there is a main electrical box. There should be a reset botton there.
With the ignition key off, push and hold the odometer reset button. Now turn the ignition to the on position but do not start the engine. After about 5 seconds the Maintenance Required light will reset.
Car due a service? It will need to be reset by a main dealer
I Think its a main dealer job only as they use a guided function with the Audi VAS computer to reset the service display
Just disconnect the negative cable from your battery for a good ten to fifteen minutes so that the main does itself a reset.
You don't reset it. One or ore of the sensors are bad, or something in the main brain is broken. You must fix the problem in order for the light to go out.
There are two main causes for the readiness monitors being set to not ready: One, your battery was disconnected and reset the monitors; or your monitors were reset intentionally, such as having your check engine light (MIL) reset by someone using a scanning tool
HOPE THIS HELPS...ON MY ACURA(TOP-FLIGHT-HONDA) THERE IS A MAINT. REMINDER ON THE DASH THAT TURNS AMBER AT MAINT. INTERVALS. YOU STICK YOUR MAIN IGNITION KEY INTO A RESET SLOT NEAR THE LIGHT, AND THIS TURNS THE LIGHT FROM AMBER BACK TO GREEN. I THINK IT WORKS OFF OF THE ODOMETER ....GOOD LUCK! ..BB
there are two suggested ways I have found. 1: remove main fuse (big black fuse) but I found disconnecting the battery for a few minutes reset the the light. When I done this and started the Car after a few miles the engine management light came back on. I replaced the mass airflow sensor and reset EM light via battery and light stayed out. Should be the same for most motors
It means the breaker has been tripped. There are two possible ways to reset it - some have a button on the outlet (there may be several outlets on one circuit, so you may have to look around) the other is the main breaker in your breaker box. You'll need to find a reset the breaker.
If the light is on, but the airbag hasn't deployed, it need reset by a diagnostics machine which can be found with some independent garages, or the Fiat main dealer. Indies are less expensive, but make sure that you tell them that you aren't paying for it if they can't reset it before letting them at it. If the airbag has deployed, it will need an new body computer as they are "1-shot" systems. If your still having problems, check out www.fiatforum.com
