When you log in as the new admin you can simply change the password to the account that you forgot the password to and then you are good!!
1. Reboot
2. Hold apple key + s key down until after you hear the chime.
(command + s keys on newer Macs)
3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account:
mount -uw /
rm var/db
shutdown -h now
4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply change the password to the account and then you are good again!

It is also useful for administrator password recovery , you can wrote it to an blank CD or USB flash drive to recover administrator password .
