How do you reset rimowa?

There are three styles of Rimowa locks that I know: The factory setting unlock codes are 0-0-0. These instructions won't work if you don't know the code to open the lock - this is to just change the combination from what you already know, not a complete reset if you forget the combination.

Start with the wheels positioned with the current unlock code. Be sure the numbers are showing in the little windows, not at the bottom of the wheel cover.

Combi-Code (old style, without TSA lock) The 3 number wheels are in a horizontal row, and the lock is oval shaped.

1. Open the lock by sliding the square lock release button down toward the wheels and hold it down while you work.

2. Turn the wheels to your new combination by using something with pointed tip placed in the grooves of the wheels (this is not easy - it clicks just one at a time, with force)

3. Release the sliding button and the new code is set.

Combi-Code 1422 (on Limbo bags, also not a TSA lock) The 3 number wheels are in a vertical column.

1. Open the lock by pushing up on the lock release button at the bottom of the wheel column and hold in place while you work.

2. Turn the wheels to your new combination.

3. Release the lock button, and the new code is set.

Combi-Code (new style, with TSA lock). The 3 number wheels are in a horizontal row and the unlock buttons are on the left and right sides of the lock.

1. Squeeze both the unlock buttons in at the same time and release to make the reset button is ready.

2. Find the small hole at the center of the top of the lock and notice the small piece of metal just inside it. Use something with a pointed tip like a ballpoint pen and press the little piece of metal until it clicks.

3. Turn the wheels to your new combination (again, you have to use some force to move the wheels).

3. Press and release the lock buttons, and the new code is set.
