that is against the law but you can detatch your battery or go to a local autozone and they can reset it for you.
bring the truck to autozone and let them reset it with their scn tool for free.
ODO
you have to take it to a shop with a computer to reset it they have to go to threw the comptuer in the truck my 93 dodge is the same way. i just live with the light on.
The proper way is with a scan tool after repairing the cause of the code that turned the light on. A batterydisconnect may also clear it.
That requires a scan tool.
the fastest way is to disconnect the battery ground wire at the battery for about 10 seconds
Either try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes or have vehicle scanned to determine problem and have codes cleared
the service engine light is on due to the fact that there is a problem with your truck, this is confirmed by the way your truck is running. you need to get a engine diagnostic check at an auto shop. may just need a tune-up, or the truck has a bad sensor, or engine woes.
Both DCi and DXi Renault HGV vehicles the service reset is a manual procedure using the dashboard instruments.
Need to know what the question is.
I have a 2006 Chevrolet C4500 Duramax Diesel and I would like to know how to turn off or reset the check engine light on the truck.
If you want your service engine soon or check engine light reset than you can disconnect the battery. If you want the security light out you have to hook up a battery charger and turn your key to the on position without starting it. Wait at least 15 minutes, then turn key back to the off position and then try to start it.
