How do you reset the body control module on 2000 Chevy Monte carlos?

This one works on my 2007 Chevy... Don't know if it will work on a 2000.
Put key in ignition and turn to RUN, (Don't Start it)
Press both Brake and Gas pedals (keep them there)
Run the Shifter from Park to 1st (L) and back 5 times
Turn key to off and remove.
Release Gas and Brake
Start the Vehicle.
BCM should be reset.

I sold at a Chevy dealership for a few years, so I can answer with regard to later-vintage Monte Carlos. If I remember right, the rear-seat fold-down option was standard on LTZ and SS Monte Carlos in 2006 and 2007 (LTZ was only available in 2006). It was not available on the more common LS models. The 2000 to 2005 Monte Carlos did not offer this feature. As for earlier models, I can't speak to those. -- Erik Smith
