Turn the key to "on" but do not start the engine. Push the gas pedal to the floor 3 times in quick succesion. The change oil will flash 3 times to let you know it has reset.
You will have to have a obdII engine scanner to do that. some parts stores will do it for free.

On my 2003 silverado I turn the key to the on position and press the gas pedel all the way to the floor 3 times. On the dash it will pop up the message "change oil" then it will pop up the message "oil life rest".
There is not a fuel reset or cut off button or switch on a Chevrolet. There is a relearn if power is lost or the computer is reprogrammed. This will NOT keep the vehicle from starting.
Not true. The computer does not have to be reset. You can change it yourself. You may have to enter the radio code if it is a theft deterrent radio but you have to do nothing to the computer.
