The answer I received from the premier lock-smith shop in Louisville, KY was "Probably". Generally, it has to be an identical "type" of keyless remote. Your best bet is an excellent locksmith. cost to reset is around 30.00 I was advised. (my question was on a 200l Impala)

If you get within range of the car when it would normally unlock itself with the remote, Hold down the lock and unlock button on the remote at the same time for ten seconds and you should hear the lock click and it should be working from then on. It worked on my cavalier, and I hope it helps yours as well.

You have to have the factory do it, or a locksmith. (thats for resetting the remotes and codes)if you just want to reset it then unplug the battery for 10 mins then hook it back up
